Dia 01: Cusco – Km 104 – Aguas Calientes
Pick up early from your hotel and transfer to the train station to take our train to kilometer 104 of the railway, starting point of our Inca trail tour, the first visit will be the archaeological center called:
Chachabamba (2200 m.a.s.l.), after exploring the place we will follow the route to Wiñaywayna (2650 m.s.n.m.), where we will also have our guided tour. We will continue our walk down to Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu Pueblo, where we will spend the night, before passing through Intipunku (gate of the sun), a place from which we can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Machu Picchu. Dinner and we spend the night at the hostel.
Dayy 2: Aguas Calientes –Machu Picchu -Cusco
After breakfast, we begin the walk in the direction of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. With our guide, we will visit the entire archaeological group in an average of 2 hours; We will visit: The Main Plaza, the Intihuatana, the Mortars room, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Temple of the Condor and many other important points in Machu Picchu; Then we will have enough free time to visit Machu Picchu areas of our greatest interest on our own.
Then go down to the town of Aguas Calientes; Take your food (lunch) and according to the scheduled train we return to Ollantaytambo from there by bus to the city of Cusco.
